Poverty plagues many cocoa-producing families, preventing them from providing basic health care and schooling for their kids. Fair Trade certified cocoa pays families a stable price that allows them to live in dignity and break through this poverty barrier. Two ways to get involved:

• This Halloween, transform the lives of children in cocoa producing countries, while you bring joy to children in your neighborhood. Distribute Fair Trade cocoa to trick-or-treaters at your door. Available at store.globalexchange.org.

• Also this year, kids nationwide will reverse the Halloween tradition by handing Fair Trade candy to adults. Global Exchange invites you and your congregation or school to participate in Reverse Trick-or-Treating. Reverse Trick-or-Treating kits include chocolate and informational cards that kids can hand to adults as they make their neighborhood rounds on Halloween. Visit www.reversetrickortreating.org to participate.

Order early! Halloween orders ship in mid-October. To learn more about social justice issues in the cocoa industry, contact Global Exchange, 2017 Mission Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94110, 415/255-7296, www.globalexchange.org/cocoa.
